Download and install ART using VMware Server 2.0

  1. Download  ART onto the machine on which you installed VMware Server.

NOTE: You will need a license key for installation. For a trial license, use the "Register" link on the upper right, and we will email you a license. A full license will be emailed upon receipt of your purchase order.

  2. Extract all downloaded files into C:\Virtual Machines\art (files must be in this directory to enable VMware Server to find them).
  3. Open the VMware Server console. You will be prompted for a login and password for someone who has administrative privileges on the physical machine.
  4. Click the Add Existing Virtual Machine link (located in the right-hand column).
  5. In the Add Existing Virtual Machine dialog box, click on the Standard triangle twizzler to reveal the ART virtual machine.
  6. Click on the ART folder so you can see and click on art.vmx in the Contents column. Then click the OK button.

  7. To start the ART virtual machine, click on ART in the Inventory column then click the green play button on the top menu bar.
  8. You should be able to browse to the IP address shown on the VMware console. Follow the GETTING STARTED instructions on the right side of the Console window.
  9. On the Console, you will also see a login dialog box. You need not log in unless you want to set up a static IP address. See the FAQ for more information. If you do log in, use Username = art, Password = tsmworks .
